1. What Kanoon-AI is
Kanoon-AI is an AI-assisted platform that helps users research Indian statutes and judgments, draft common legal documents and analyze uploaded documents. It provides legal information, not legal advice.
2. Not a substitute for a lawyer
Outputs are generated by AI and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Citations are shown where source information is available and must be verified against official sources. Consult a qualified advocate before acting on any output — especially for court filings, contracts and personal legal decisions.
3. Eligibility (18+)
Accounts on Kanoon-AI may only be created by users aged 18 or above, and you confirm your age when you sign up. If you are under 18 you must not create an account; you may use the public informational content only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use Kanoon-AI to harass, defraud, defame or harm anyone.
- Do not upload content you have no right to share.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload or scrape the service.
- Do not use Kanoon-AI to give unauthorized legal advice to third parties for compensation.
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service to you.
7. Plans, pricing and payment
Kanoon-AI has a Free plan and a paid plan, Kanoon-AI Pro.
- Free — 5 AI legal questions per day and 3 legal drafts per month, with no card required.
- Pro — ₹499 per month or ₹4,000 per year. Pro provides higher limits intended for normal individual use, subject to fair use and technical and safety controls, plus document analysis and contract review for text-based PDF, DOCX and TXT files up to 8 MB.
There is no automatic online checkout. Pro is activated on your account manually by our team after we confirm the current price with you and receive a verified payment. Clicking an upgrade button alone never charges you or activates Pro. Prices are in Indian Rupees and may change with prior notice; taxes may apply. Cancellation and refunds are covered in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
8. Feature availability
Some features are marked Beta, Planned or Coming soon in the product. Those features may be incomplete, may change, or may not be available at all. English and Hindi are fully supported; eight further Indian languages are in beta.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. See our full Disclaimer.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kanoon-AI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Termination and account deletion
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account; this is the primary method and is permanent. If you cannot sign in, contact us from the contact page and we will action the deletion.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
13. Changes
We will update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
